Yes, You Can!

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller Motivations To Get Success in Life By Carol Rongey

Economic recession, wars, unemployment, foreclosures, crime, government bailouts, illness, taxes, the list goes on and on. Everywhere we turn today, from the news to conversations at our favorite coffee shop, negativity and bad news surrounds us. If it hasn’t affected us directly, we’re afraid it will soon. It seems hopeless. No wonder there is an increase in depression today.

Does life have to be like this? NO! Sure, sometimes things happen to us that we have no control over, but how we prepare for them and how we handle them is up to us.

Don’t be dependent on your doctor and your local pharmacy for your health. The first key to being healthy is to take care of yourself today, instead of getting sick, taking medications, and getting sick again because you didn’t make any changes in your lifestyle. Your doctor can’t make healthy choices for you, but Yes, You Can!

Everyone is concerned about the economy today, but sitting back and complaining about how our politicians are handling things isn’t improving your personal economy at all.

Give yourself an economic stimulus package by having multiple streams of income. Having a side business that brings in a few hundred dollars a month can not only help with your monthly expenses today, but could easily turn into a full time business should you get laid off from your “day job”. A benefit of home-based businesses that many people are unaware of is the numerous tax benefits of having a business that you run out of your home. Can you really make more money? Yes, You Can!

Look for ways to cut your expenses any way you can. Educate yourself on different types of mortgages so you can discuss your options with your broker and decide together what is best for your situation, do not just take his/her advice blindly. Another big expense today is insurance. Auto, health and life insurance together can cost hundreds of dollars each month. Learn how much coverage you really need. Learn about ways to reduce your premiums. Research different insurance companies. Can you reduce your monthly expenses? Yes, You Can!

By now you’re probably asking yourself how you can be an expert on so many different subjects. You don’t have to be! Learn enough to ask specific questions of those who are experts. Learn enough to let the experts know that you are knowledgeable about their subject and if they can’t answer your questions to your satisfaction, you will find someone who can. Learn enough so you are making decisions, not letting someone else make them for you. Can you gain this much knowledge? Yes, You Can!

Mental Attitude is Everything

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller: Mental Attitude is Everything by Diana Samalot.

Our mental attitude determine how we view our life, and how we react or act to the events that happen during our life time. Our beliefs determine our mental attitude. If you believe that you have no control over your life, then, when events happen, and they will happen (otherwise, our lives would have little or no meaning, if everything was “good” all the time) you will be at the mercy of these events like an autumn leaf is at the mercy of the wind.

With the proper mental attitude, what most people consider adversity or failure, the person with the right mental attitude sees opportunities. It is the determining factor to whether the person emerges triumphantly or sinks to the bottom. The people with the right mental attitude believe that they can turn any circumstance to their favor and focus only on solutions and don’t drown themselves in the problem itself or the hopelessness of the situation. He or she will experience just as many negative events as any of us, but he or she uses them as stepping stones toward higher achievements, learns and grows with every one of these opportunities.

One of the main differences between successful people and unsuccessful people is that successful people have failed many more times than unsuccessful people. You see, people with a poor mental attitude sees a “failure” as sign of doom, or decides that “this is too hard” or “I don’t know what I’m doing” or “it’s not meant to be” or whatever other excuse he or she can come up with to quit, to stop trying to avoid failure. But this is really an illusion, because the real failure is in quitting, in giving up. By giving up, they don’t really give up the opportunity to fail, they are giving up the opportunity to succeed.

When you are working toward a goal, there are no failures, only different degrees of success. Take one step at a time. It is not only about the end result, after all, that end result may last for only a short period of time. It is the getting there that takes the longest, so enjoy it. See each step as a step closer to your goal whether you think that step was in the direction of your goal or not. Believe me, if you learned anything from that step, then it was positively in the right direction, regardless of what it looks like. Things aren’t always what they seem. When you are faced with a problem, don’t waste hours agonizing over it. Don’t focus on the problem, focus on the solution. Then, open up your wings and fly, take action! Take a risk! There are no guarantees that everything will turn out the way you planned it, but I guarantee you that will have NO opportunity of success if you are afraid to take a chance.

As Lee Iacocca, former Chairman of Chrysler Corporation, said “So what do we do? Anything – something. So long as we don’t just sit there. If we screw it up, start over. Try something else. If we wait until we’ve satisfied all the uncertainties, it may be too late.”

Life is not about living it perfectly, is about living it. So, enjoy the good moments, and learn and grow from the not so good ones. If you have this mental attitude, you will enjoy ALL of the moments of your life. There is “perfection” in imperfection. It’s all good. Mental attitude IS everything.

Motivations and Weight Loss Solutions – How to Implement Weight Loss For Teens

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller Motivations and Weight Loss Solutions By Heather Solomon.

Here is a list of what motivates overweight teenagers to look for effective weight loss solutions.

Weight loss for teens is mostly about how to be able to look like their favorite celebrity. Of course a lot of teenagers would not admit it. Actually, when asked about a direct question about losing weight, you won’t be able to come up with a useful answer to determine their motivation. But if you try to dig deeper, like check the topics of their conversations with friends and the covers of their school notebooks, you would then come up with an idea of who might be their celebrity idols. Of course, this is not a good motivating factor for losing weight.

Another, weight loss for teens is about avoiding peer pressure. Social status, anyone? Though this may sound ridiculous for some, this still has something to do with a “celebrity” in the minds of teens. But this time, they are looking at the deemed famous people within their own community, like who might be linked to their school crush or the activities of the more popular group.

There are also teenagers who disregard a healthy lifestyle just because they are young. It is a fact that in most cases, teens are stronger against different diseases than adults are. Maybe this is not because teens believe that they are invincible due to their age, but more about being able to explore more and not worry much because it is still too early for them to think about health threats.

For other teens, they look at weight loss solutions as just a form of control exercised toward them but not fully understand the benefits. Well, if you don’t see what is in it for you in any activity, you would probably not mind to be doing that at all. At their age, teens don’t like the feeling that they are completely without control of what they do.

Many teens, too, may not be fully aware of the importance of keeping a healthy weight. This is a period of their life that they are mostly involved with so many activities which force them into a situation where in the normal body process of burning fats cannot take place. We are talking about teenagers eating while studying or playing their favorite computer games.

So, what may be the best motivation for teenagers to maintain a healthy lifestyle? The secret word is “discipline”. And what we want to achieve here is “self-discipline”. We want to explain to teens and have them understand the benefits of healthy living in general and different habits to stay fit. In the end of it all, teens must also be “assured”, somehow, that the choice remains for them to make. If given this certain kind of assurance – that weight loss is for their benefit, they are not compared to others, they are not being put under any pressure, and that they are in control – teenagers are most likely to be involved in keeping a healthy weight.

Midlife Women in the Age of Miracles – Do You Know Where You’re Going

Midlife Women in the Age of Miracles from Rabbi Yitzhak Miller By Dr. Toni LaMotta

Are you living your life’s dream right now? Women, midlife can be the age of miracles for you. If you are not yet living your dream but are still alive? There’s still time!

Victor Hugo once said “Each one should frame his life so that at some future hour fact and his dreamings meet.”

There is a story told that years ago, while unearthing an ancient Egyptian tomb, an archaeologist came upon seeds buried in a piece of wood. When they were planted, the seeds realized their potential after more than 3,000 years!

There are seeds of possibility in all of us still. Allow yourself some waking DREAMING… what do you see for yourself?

It’s becoming clearer and clearer to me how we create every aspect of our lives – and when we get truly alert – or conscious, we begin to see how we get to SEE in life only that which we have already SEEN in mind..

Do you know where you’re going to?
You’re going wherever you SEE yourself going…
Take time this week – randomly set an alarm during the day – and when it goes off ask -

is what I’m doing right now taking me where I want to go?

Do you like the things that life is showing you?
It’s showing you what you were able to see in the past.
If you don’t like what you are seeing – Start SEEING it differently.. Scripture tells us – without a vision, the people perish… Without knowing where you are going – you’ll dissipate the energy on things that are meaningless…

How do you see yourself? Where do you see yourself in a year? What are you doing? Who are you being? In 5 years? And ultimately – what’s your REAL AIM in life? Women in midlife have the perfect opportunity to ask these questions.

SPEND Time EVERY day picturing what you would have your life to be…

-Create Treasure Maps if you’re visual -

-Tell yourself if your auditory…

-Test drive the car if your kinesthetic
You KNOW to do these things– are you doing them? And,
If not, why not?

You probably have about one third of a lifetime – at least – left. Don’t let being a woman in midlife stop you.

This truly can be your age of miracles.

Five Easy Self Improvement Ideas

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller Easy Self Improvement Ideas By Philip Fowler.

Self improvement is a quest that one should be on for their entire lives. That is not to say that you should be unhappy with who you are, but instead, it is wise to always be learning and trying to be better. Below are five self improvement ideas that can help you in your quest to become the best you possible.

Choose an Area

Sure, there is likely more than one area of your life that you feel could use a little tweaking. Instead of going for a whole life makeover, just choose one area on which you will focus at a time. This will help you narrow your efforts and will yield the best results.

Be Specific

Now that you have chosen an area of your life that needs improvement, be specific about the improvements you would like to make. For example, perhaps the overall goal was to improve your health. The specific goals could be lose twenty pounds, work to come off blood pressure medication or to start on an exercise plan.

If the general goal is work related, the specific goals could be arrive to work thirty minutes earlier or finish at least one project per day.

The more specific your goals, the easier it will be to measure your success.

Reward Yourself

When you realize that you have met a milestone in your journey for self improvement, reward yourself. The reward does not have to be anything big. If you lose ten pounds, buy yourself a new outfit. If you finish a project within deadline, treat yourself to a long lunch at your favorite restaurant.

Taking the time to wallow in your success is important on a list of self improvement ideas. This will not only help you stay motivated, but it will allow you to build self confidence as you celebrate each goal.

Find the Positive

If you are the type of person who focuses on all that you think is wrong with you, you need to stop that. It is hard to accomplish anything in the area of self improvement when you constantly dwell on your flaws. Instead, focus on your positive traits.

Doing so will make you more likely to rely on those strengths in order to reach you stated goals.

Reach Out

Many people have found that a great step toward self improvement is helping someone else. Be a mentor to a younger person at your job. Volunteer to read to children in the local hospital or to serve dinner at a soup kitchen.

Finding ways to give of yourself is one of the most effective self improvement ideas you will ever find. It allows you to take the focus off of you and to use your talents and abilities to help someone who needs it.

Success – A Matter of Attitude

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller Success – A Matter of Attitude By Louie Ang.

Success has always been a matter of attitude. In the past, there have been many figures that made great contributions to society despite their predicament or lack of opportunity. One of the more renowned examples is Beethoven who despite losing his hearing composed some of the best pieces in the history of music. The time might’ve been different but the drive to succeed should be no different today than it was back then.

Here in the country, success stories are a dime a dozen but even though there are plenty here that made it to the top people still ask how they did it. Let me tell you one thing about them, they are where they are because they had the right attitude in reaching their goal. According Teodorico Haresco, Philippines’ resident entrepreneur, it doesn’t matter where you came from but how you deal with adversities along the way to get to where you want to be. I admit that having the attitude for success isn’t the only thing you need but it can surely give you the drive to acquire the necessary requirements for you to improve yourself and finally reach your goal.

One thing that I’ve learned from experience is that no matter how good you are, your attitude towards any task will affect its outcome. If your state of mind is directed towards failure then even if you finish a task it will still turn out mediocre. If you believe that you would succeed and put in all your effort then even if the task is small it will still garner praises. I personally believe that a sense of balance is your best tool when it comes to any venture and knowing when to move forward and stop is something that could save you from unwanted outcomes. Knowledge, experience and the right attitude will certainly lead you to the right road to success.

Why You Need Self Improvement and Motivation to Succeed in Life

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller Motivation to Succeed in Life By Shawn Lim.

Do you want to be successful in your life? If your answer is yes, then you will need self improvement and motivation in your life. Self improvement is something that allows you to learn and acquire new knowledge while motivation is the force and energy that will keep you going in your life.

In order to achieve your goals, live the kind of life you always dream about and be successful life, you need both self improvement and motivation. The determination to learn and the commitment to take the necessary action to make things come true are the 2 factors that will determine your success.

Unfortunately, most people lack both of them. For most people, they never read any books after they leave their student’s life. If a book can give you an idea of how you can improve your life and you read a book per week, what do you think will happen to your life? You will have read roughly 50 books a year and I can guarantee you that the knowledge you acquire from the books are enough to improve the quality of your life.

As for motivation, most people lack motivation and they never take any action even though they knew what they should do. For example, if you want to be rich, you know you cannot depend only on the income from your job; you need to create extra income. However, most people don’t have the drive or motivation to do it. Instead, they give lousy excuses such as they don’t have the time, they don’t have the money or they just don’t know how.

This is why you need to have both self improvement and motivation to succeed in your life. There are a lot of self improvement techniques out there. And the best way to learn them is by learning from someone who knows the proven method or system that can help you in achieving what you want in your life.

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller Build Confidence By Marguerite Clancy.

Self Improvement Starts With Making Decisions

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller Guide For Decisions Making By: Gamy Rachel.

Decisions making is the hardest thing to do when a person is confused. So when it comes to making the right decisions, it is even harder. But self improvement is about making decisions and making the right ones.

To have a positive change in your life, you have to decide you want a positive change, and this in itself is making a decision.

You cannot just hope you will have a positive change in your life, or just wishing it will come, you have to decide to take a positive action towards this change, pursue it aggressively, and stick to it no matter what.

But on the other hand, making New Year resolutions are not decisions, because it is just a wishful thinking. If you only want a positive change during New Year, you will be most disappointed. You have to want positive changes everyday of your life, not only during New Year.

Make it a point to stick to it. It is fine even if you fail to keep at it in the beginning, as long as you make a decision that each time you fall, you will stand up again, again and again.

A person who is getting sick and tire and fed up with his or her current situation will more likely to take positive steps and stick to it compared to a person who is lukewarm and still living in the comfort zone.

Decisions require 100% of our commitment, not 99%, not even 99.999%, it has to be 100%. Think about this, when a person is almost there, is actually not there at all. How can you be almost there at one place? Either you are there or not there, there is no such thing as I am almost there.

If you find that making positive changes in your life is difficult, and hard to stick to it, you may also get help from coaching programs, audio programs, self help or self improvement courses, audio programs and books. Learn from the successful people, they are not there because they are smarter then you, they are there because they have once made a positive decision to change and carry it through.

Brian Tracy, a successful motivator and trainer said this,”The fastest way for you to succeed is by piggy-backing on the good advice and counsel of men and women who have already spent years learning how to succeed. When you do this on a regular and systematic basis, you will open up doors of opportunity and possibilities for you that today you cannot even imagine.”

Successful people are always looking for ways to improve themselves and are aware that regardless how good they think they are, there is always room for improvement. Such people know that happiness and fulfillment is based on their consistent growth and contribution based on self-improvement ideas.

So why not learn from them? If we know how to go about it, we would be already up there and not down here. It is not that successful people do not have any problems, but they know how to react and how to handle problems better then we do, and 10 out of 10 successful people are avid readers. So get yourself gear up by reading and learning.

Rabbi Yitzhak Miller Describing The Purpose Of Life By Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD.

With the continual expansion of instantaneous communication methods, the world exponentially shrinks, which leaves a profound question in people’s minds as to their place in an ever shrinking world. You might then be compelled to delve more deeply into the question of your purpose. Many people think there is a God given ordination for one’s purpose. Indeed, the basis of your soul’s sole purpose here is to create emotional and spiritual growth. However, your inner being, calls for deepening and enriching this purpose to its greatest depth and breadth.

The majority of people search for the answers to their purpose in life, outside of themselves.
The only path to deepening and enriching your purpose is to go within. The answer to one’s questions lie inside you. All you need do is look, listen and trust. Going within requires one to contemplate or meditate on creating a deeper and more enriched life.

Through meditation or contemplation, however, you can observe and learn the truth about your existence, for you break down the illusions that you created in your external life and you open up to your inner world and the truth. By meditating or contemplating, you will avoid the rationalizations and diversions that might influence your search for meaning, and instead come to the core of your being and your connection to the universe, which is where the truth that you seek resides.

Although, less popular in Western cultures, Buddhist and Hindu based meditation practices are the most practiced in both Eastern and Western cultures. Researchers posit that primitive hunter-gatherers may have discovered meditation and its altered states of consciousness as they stared at the flames of their fires during this nightly ritual. Meditation evolved in a structured practice over thousands of years. Indian scriptures called ‘tantras’ included meditation techniques over 5000 years ago. It is Buddha, one of history’s strongest proponents of meditation, who first introduced a formal technique of meditation around 500 B.C.

Contemplation is from the Latin root templus, an entering into an open or consecrated place. In the religious sense it is in the form of a prayer or meditation. In Christianity it is related to mysticism, as portrayed by the works of Teresa of Avila, Margery Kempe, Augustine Baker and Thomas Merton. From the earliest days of the Church, Christians have used contemplation as an essential part of prayer along with offering intercessions, supplications, and praise.

Both Meditation and Contemplation require a quiet environment and a willingness to use specific techniques, whether derived from the masters or one’s adaptations to go within to connect to one’s higher self and the answers that lie within.

While you are in the relaxed state of meditation or contemplation imagine connecting to the consciousness of the universe. Carl Jung described the universal consciousness as the collective unconscious. As you sense your openness you can ask what you need to know about the meaning of your life. The answer might not spring forth immediately, however, as you continue to connect to this collective unconscious you will notice that you have a greater sense of awareness of the direction you seek. You might notice a sense of ‘Aha,’ or a moment of profound truth that resonates as pure knowledge.
